pinterest wednesday

Linking up with Michelle today.  Now that it's spring and summer is right around the corner, Pinterest has been full of fresh style inspiration. I haven't had a whole ton of time to re-pin everything I love, but I will be sure to make some time. Be sure to follow me if you don't already!

What has been inspiring your spring style lately?

piperlime picks

If you're like me, you could spend hours perusing Piperlime's website. They are offering 20% off all purchases until midnight tonight with the code TWENTY. Since I've been shopping like a crazy lady and am headed to FL in 5 (!!!) days, I am resisting the temptation to get a few things.

Here are my picks:

Dolce Vita Sachi Sandal
RD Style Pop Color Blazer

Marc by Marc Jacobs Aviators
Ark & Co. Beaded Jacket

Citizens of Humanity Thompson Skinny Jeans

Sir Alistair Rai Ikat Wrap
Tinley Road Tribal Tie Front Sheer Blouse

Juicy Couture Parrot Bangle

hey there!

hey there!
How was everyone's weekend? It is hot hot hot in Boston today.

Official Florida Countdown: 6 days! I am beyond excited, but I have a busy week ahead of me.

Hopefully, I will have enough time to get my ish together for this trip! I am going to my bridesmaids dress fitting at J.Crew for my sister's wedding, I am hitting up Recycle Studio 5 times this week, and it's my mother's birthday this week! I also have a rude amount of laundry that needs to be done.

We ended up having such gorgeous weather all weekend long. I spotted these tulips when I went for a walk! So pretty.
I wore an all-gold arm party out Saturday. We went to The Living Room for some early bevs before dinner at Mistral. We ended the night at Eastern Standard where I got my usual, the Jack Rose (one of my absolute favs!).
TM and I went to Vinoteca di Monica for a light brunch, I had a frisee salad and a mimosa.
We topped off the (indulgent) weekend with strawberry shortcake while we watch Mad Men. Do any of you watch? I think last night's episode was the best from the new season. I am obsessed.

the great concealer debate.

I am in the market for a new concealer. It is the most difficult makeup item for me. Really, really dark circles run in my family, and no matter what I've used, I feel like I always look tired!

I have been using the Bobbi Brown creamy concealer and corrector combo for about a year and a half, but it drives me nuts that I have to buy two different products to cover my dark circles.  I don't wear a ton of make-up as it is, because my skin is extremely sensitive. I feel like the more makeup I apply, the worse my skin looks naturally.

I also use the Bobbi Brown foundation stick when I am in a rush -- it is quick and super easy to apply, but it really doesn't provide as much coverage as I'd like.

In the past, I have also used Benefit Boi-ing and Erase Paste. Both have worked pretty well, but I am down to try something new!

Enter, the Cle de Peau Beaute concealer.  This concealer has received fabulous reviews, saying it's worth all of the hype and money (it retails for $70).  It seems a bit pricey for me, but when I think about it, between all of the Bobbi products I am using, it is basically the same price!

What type of concealer do you use? Would love some recommendations, or what products I should steer clear of.

life lately.

What have I been up to?

Two weekends ago, I celebrated my college bestie's birthday.

I wore Skinny Visionnaire Joe's Jeans, Ann Taylor Neon Lights necklace and Knit Hem short sleeved top in blue lapis (Ann Taylor online is currently 30% off your purchase with the code SPRING30).

RC and I gifted her this Banana Republic cuff (and also, our gift to ourselves is Miami!)

TM and I went to one of our favorite spots, Marco, last week to celebrate his new job!
It is a tiny North End restaurant - owned by one of our favorite chefs, Marc Orfaly (who is also the chef/owner of Pigalle).

I also scooped up this slightly gaudy, slightly amazing gold dress from H&M for my trip -- only $14.95!

My sister had her first bridal shower this weekend - hopefully pics to come!
Of course, I forgot my camera.

What have ya'll been up to?

maxi madness.

So.. I literally gasped this morning when I checked my bank account, which probably isn't good, since I got paid 4 days ago. Regardless! I have gotten some great deals lately, and wanted to share another with you.

I got this printed maxi dress from Hautelook's American Twist sale. I have never heard of this brand before, but all of the maxis from this sale are $40, reg. $168. They have some really cute colors and prints, so if you're in the market to stock up on dresses for summer, you should check their sale. I think I am set after this, the two from Old Navy I posted about yesterday, and what I have already from last year.

old navy finds + some more MIAMI shopping!

So, as I said the other day, I have been loving Old Navy lately. I have picked out a couple of dresses for my upcoming trip to Miami and a few tank tops.

Ruffled Crepe Tube Dress in nebulous blue

Rope-Belted Maxi Dresses in black and green ... look sooo soft!

I also am loving their shoes. These wedges remind me of last season's Tory Burches, and the simple sandals are dead ringers for J.Crew's. Plus, the flip flops come in tons of colors!

Speaking of J.Crew, I also (of course) have scooped up some stuff from their online Sale.

I bought my second Sun-Drenched Sweatshirt. I ordered it in white, and I already have it in turquoise. I wear it all. the. time. It's about time I got another! They are extremely lightweight, perfect for nighttime in the summer. They also have a blue and orange - I am tempted to snag another.

I also got this pink striped bikini (bandeau, bottoms). I have ordered two bandeau suits, since I need to avoid tanlines for my sissy's upcoming nuptials! Nothing is worse than a bridesmaid with tanlines.

I am also regretting not getting this tunic from their Factory site - hopefully it goes on sale! Super cute.

Happy Monday little kittens! Hope it's a good one. xx
