j.crew {sale finds}

J.Crew sent out an e-mail with new sale styles added to their site. I legit cannot resist J.Crew online sale, it makes my impusliveness shine through. Anyway. There are some great items on sale right now (I generally find that their sale section is hit or miss, I either buy ten things or nothing at all).

Here are my picks..

Blythe Blouse

People were obsessed with this blouse when it first came out. Two of the best colors (in my opinion) are still left - cobalt and purple.

Edie Tote

This bag is timeless. Such a great staple piece. It is also on sale in black.

Neon Azaela Eyelet Cafe Capris

If I had legs for days, I would have absolutely ordered these capris. So fun for summer, and also work-appropriate (I try to maxmize my purchases by finding things that I can wear for both work + play).

Painted Rope Skirt

This skirt is soo fun. I don't think I ever saw it on the website before it went on sale? That happens sometimes. Super cute and a great change from the "same old" stripes.

Sand Dune Shorts

I actually own these shorts. They are amazing. I have no idea why J.Crew didn't make them in other colors, I would have bought every pair. My bestie ES bought them too!

Striped Villa Dress

I also have this dress. I am really please with the fit and quality. This dress also comes in solid colors (which are also on sale).

Viv Bow Flats

I really love these flats! I don't have any flats with a pointed toe, and I am looking for some new nude colored flats, so these may be coming my way very soon (hoping for another extra20% or extra30% off promo!).

Have you purchased anything from J.Crew lately? Where have you been shopping?? xoxo.

thangs.

happy tuesday, friends.
It is raining (yet again) in Boston. woof. I was in desperate need of a SKVL from Starbucks this morning - I haven't had one in forevs. You can also see in the background of the photo my Summons for Jury Duty. I am only bringing this up because I have been called three times already -- What's your deal, Boston?
On Friday I walked through Downtown Crossing after work and hit up Macy's, H&M, Bath & Body Works, and Papyrus. I got a bunch of hand sanitizer (a giant Nectarine Mint one for my desk and a bunch of Margarita minis for my bag) and wallflowers for my bedroom from B&BW, and a C.O. Bigelow lip balm (lovee that they sell C.O. Bigelow products there). It is lemony and delicious and I highly recommend. I picked up an anniversary card for TM (which was Sunday! xo), and two Mother's Day cards (one for my mother and one for my grandmother). Papyrus has the best cards.
At H&M, I got these sandals which I already have in silver. I brought the silver pair to Miami and really liked them, so I went back and bought them in brown -- only $17.95.  I also got two mullet dresses (judge me if you wish), one is cobalt and the other is ikat. Unsure if I am keeping those & I can't find a picture of them on the site. Also -- I thought that H&M was going to introduce online shopping? Wtf?
I cannot explain how excited I get when I get things in the mail. Hence why I a full-on addicted to online shopping (and ebates). Kate Spade's wrapping is so bright an cheery.

I got this Kate Spade Cobble Hill Small Leslie in the mail about a month ago. I really like the shape and the fact that it has a shoulder strap. I have received a lot of compliments wearing it which is nice.
But now I am obsessed with this Bond Street Florence.  It's on sale. Thoughts? I may need it.

How were your weekends? Promising a Miami recap soon. Basically I read 50 Shades triology and annoyed my friends by quoting Bridesmaids the entire time. AKA the best trip ever. I feel like I am already losing my tan!

xx

What Your Shoes Say About You

I don't usually shop at Neiman's (I am a Saks gal), but I take a look at their site every now and again because they always have a great variety of shoes online. I was looking through their "Irresistables" section, wondering to myself, who would buy most of these? I am sure there is someone out there that likes these, but they are all a bit too eccentric for my taste (and I am still scarred from those Miu Miu boots from last year).

HOW?

Anyway, I posted some of the more out-there styles for you here. If any of you like these/are brave enough to sport any of these, I salute you.

What these shoes say about their owners..

I am a hipster with a penchant for tacky old-lady home decor (highly unlikely combination).

I am one of the wives on Rock of Love (best show) or I am Courtney Stodden.

I am Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman amidst my transition from prostitute to housewife.

I am wealthy but also dabble in Ed Hardy apparel (and have massive implants).

I am a Coug on the prowl (yes, that is a plastic lipstick tube on the back of these).

I am not from America.

I have so much money that I literally had nothing else to spend my money on so I brought NEOPRENE (read: child's swim shoe material) PUMPS from Christian Louboutin.

blue+orange

Blue and orange were my high school colors, and I love how much of this color combination I've seen lately!  I love Kelli Garner's look I saw on Rebecca Minkoff's blog Minkette earlier today.
top, bottom, both Rebecca Minkoff

I scooped up this J.Crew gondola skirt today from their sale section.  Perfect for work - so easy to pair with a white tank for summer!

A Miami recap to come soon, hopefully! xoxo
